Through alleviating shoulder-arm pain during yoga rehabilitation caused by lymphedema from lymphadechotomy, we wish to sustain the consistency of yoga practice to positively intervene survivors’ motor skills & mental health, in order to ultimately improve&empower the health&well-being of breast cancer survivors (BCS) with yoga activity.

The Challenge

Lymphedema-induced shoulder-arm pain is a prevalent postoperative complication among breast cancer survivors. While yoga therapy offers a rehabilitative option with benefits for mindfulness and limb mobility, pain-induced fatigue can lead to irregular adherence. Additionally, a communication gap among patients, physicians, and yoga therapists complicates integrated care delivery.

The Solution

The design introduces a Local Vibration Therapy-infused yoga wear integrated with software to facilitate direct monitoring of the user's rehabilitation by healthcare providers. Acknowledging post-surgery privacy concerns, the software concurrently offers virtual yoga sessions with enhanced screening capabilities for an immersive experience.

Vibra Neurotech tailors yoga therapy easier for Breast Cancer Survivors.

Experienced design for a more accessible music therapy for wide audience. With the high engagement of musical games, children can complete a therapeutic section while playing. This video showcases the whole journey of Cuckoo.
